Life is full

OF

MOMENTS

The moment I made the decision to go right instead of left. The moment I heard the voice and swerved to miss the oncoming car. The moment the doctor told me I would never be a happy, active wife, mother, and leader in my community again. My story is full of moments in which I had to make choices—some of which I had no idea would make the difference between life and death, thriving and surviving, joy or lifelong depression.

When a serious car accident devastated my life as a happy and active wife, mother, and leader in my community, I chose to fight back. I chose surgery over doctors’ incorrect diagnoses, and full recovery over their limiting post-surgery prognoses. I even chose facing off with the voices from my past that told me I wasn’t good enough, strong enough, or worthy of being whole and healthy again. Relentless in my pursuit to reclaim “the real Lori” and experience my true potential, I chose to embark on the adventure of my life––and stay on it, even when the terrain gets rough. Within a few years, I was a business owner again, a regular half-marathon runner, a high-adventurer, and a writer––enjoying life with my family.

Today, as CEO of Magnificent Moments, I inspire and empower others to reach higher, go farther, and become more than they ever imagined––fostering two beliefs in everyone whose life I am blessed to touch: “You can do hard things,” and “Life is about choices.”

MY OFFICIAL BIO

When a serious car accident devastated her life as a happy and active wife, mother, and leader in her community, Lori Giesey chose to fight back. She chose surgery over doctors’ incorrect diagnosis, and full recovery over their limiting post-surgery prognosis. She even chose Facing off with the voices from her past that told her she wasn’t good enough, strong enough, or worthy of being whole and healthy again. Relentless in her pursuit to reclaim “the real Lori” and experience her true potential, she chose to embark on the adventure of her life––and stay on it, even when the terrain got rough. Within a few years, she was a business owner again, a regular half-marathon runner, a high-adventurer, and a writer––enjoying life with her family.

Lori has held various leadership roles with both youth and women, working as president and counselors of the Young Women and Relief Society organizations in her church. For nearly two decades, she has been working with Junior Youth Leaders to create “Girl’s Camp” adventures; and in the past five years, she has enjoyed creating team high-adventure opportunities where individuals learn that the choice to create and live your own highest adventure is a lot easier and a lot more fun than just letting life happen to you.

Today, as CEO of Magnificent Moments, she inspires and empowers others to reach higher, go farther, and become more than they ever imagined––fostering two beliefs in everyone whose life she touches: “You can do hard things,” and “Life is about choices.” Lori lives in Colorado and is married to her best friend, Mike, and loves spending time with her extended family and especially her eight grandchildren.
